FMJ - Day 486

July 27: Late last evening in San Luis Obispo, we shopped the Downtown area... we happened upon a farmer's market and drank fresh pomegrant/kiwi juice. We also had Foster's Freeze cones. While standing in front of the Pottery Barn someone in the crowd dropped $16.00 at our feet in the form of a Ten, five and One. Ajay discovered it as I was keeping my eye on him and his new skateboard. He claims to do several tricks... one is called an Ollie. Don't know that one exactly... somehow he's picked up of the "boarder lingo."

We stayed at the Ragged Point Inn -- a quaint place along Highway 1. In the afternoon, our road adventure led up the coast to Big Sur. At the Big Sur State Park, we hiked the trails to the Pfeiffer Falls and to "Valley View" We stopped at Nepenthe for dinner. Nepenthe is a beautiful spot about 2 miles south of Big Sur. It's a lodge and restaurant known for it's great food and one the most picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean. We made many stops at the overlooks and took in, the from our picnic chairs, the Sunset over the clouds on our way back to Ragged Point.
