FMJ - Day 306

January 27: We found 1 nickel and 35 pennies. At Alpert's Furniture, Ajay picked through the rubble again of their fountain... I guess they don't want corroded pennies otherwise they'd have gathered them up in the past week. His score -- 1 nickel & 31 pennies. A stop at CVS in the Sycamore Plaza on Cochran Ave. -- found a penny. Dinner in Valencia, CA at Wahoo's Fish Taco -- Ajay found 3 pennies. We went to Homemaker's Furniture, one of the largest furniture stores in SoCal, located in Santa Clarita. About 160,000 sq. ft. of furnishings. They were having a "moving liquidation sale".... seems with the new housing market in turmoil a lot of furniture retailers are getting pinched. Also, I hear that the Chinese are flooding (dumping) the furniture market. Sofa sets, end tables and chairs are a plenty! Even Ashley Furniture is making their wares in China. That's got to hurt in North Carolina.
